There aren't that many character models for them. The buildings aren't very detailed, and the pedestrians look average. Even with the amount of time spent, it should have been better than what it was. But a person like me who kept the PS2? I feel as if they gave us something common, expecting it to be okay. I'm fine with that, seeing as a lot of people do have those next-gen consoles at their disposal. They weren't anything amazing, but that's probably because there was more time spent on the Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 versions.
SPIDER MAN 3 PS2 PS2
A popular video game since its original release date in 2007, Spider-Man 3 for the PS2 has also seen releases and remakes from Activision across a range of next-gen and specialist platforms, including the PS3, Nintendo DS, and Wii. Spider-Man 3 for the PS2 promises a cinematic gameplay experience, with battle music and a narrative script voiced by actors from the movies and other games, including Tobey Maguire, James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, Topher Grace as Venom and Thomas Haden Church as Sandman. Swing through the streets and leap across rooftops to find the game’s collectible Meteorites between Story missions and, after completing the Spider-Man 3 story, collect all 50 Spider Emblems to unlock the black suit for good. Enjoy more freedom in Spider-Man 3 for the PS2 than ever before in a Spider-Man video game with a detailed and wide open rendition of New York City, reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto games. When the time’s up, Peter Parker must struggle to remove the black suit through a mini-game of increasing difficulty, or fail the mission he used it for. Unlike on the next-gen versions of the game for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, in the PS2 version Peter Parker can switch between the black and classic Spidey suits at will, but only for a limited duration. For the first time, take on the mantel of the Venom-style Black-Suited Spider-Man for intense new abilities and powers. And, as in Spider-Man 2, unlock powers and abilities with Hero Points earned in game. Also choose to accept or reject varied side missions (ranging between taking down muggers to delivering pies) through a unique radio system. Fail to help out enough and the gangs take over, negatively impacting the feel of the dynamic city environment. Engage in mini-games to help the NYPD keep the city’s crime wave under control. Drawing on material from the comics as well as the games and movies, villains include Venom, Sandman, and The Lizard, along with a number of others who appear exclusively in the PlayStation 2, PSP, and Wii versions of the game. Swing through the Story missions to meet iconic characters and take on 10 of Spider-Man’s most infamous foes. Following much the same plot as next-gen versions for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PC, this PlayStation 2, PSP, and Wii version of Spider-Man 3 plunges Spider-Man right back into the action with a terrorist attack by the H-Bombers. Join Spider-Man in his third big outing on the PS2 as he tackles New York City’s increasing gang problem. In fact, things may be going a little too smoothly. Even super villains have been thin on the ground since Doc Ock was defeated in Spider-Man 2. Having got the girl and finally won over the hearts and minds of New York City, it looks like everything is going to be okay.
SPIDER MAN 3 PS2 PS3
Although both the ps2 and ps3 versions were similar in following the movie, there were definitely plot differences in the two versions of the game. Why would it have a worse mechanic than SM2? Why not just use the same one.?Īnd finally the story was different. It was completely different than both SM3 on ps3/360, and SM2. Then SM3's web swinging mechanic was garbage on the ps2 version. SM3 came out like 3 years later, shouldn't they be better or at least the same? But what did confuse me was why Spider-man 3 on the ps2 had noticeably worse graphics than spider-man 2 on the ps2. I understand the fact that ps3 had better graphics cause its a more advanced system, so that never confused me. Ok so the most obvious different between the ps2 and ps3 version were the graphics. Spider-man 3 for the ps2 was always an enigma for my 15 year old self, for a few reasons.
